The 24th Annual Outcast Cobia Classic will begin cobia season for many anglers along the northern gulf coast. Anglers will compete from mid March until May 2 to see who can bring the biggest cobia to the dock.
The captains meeting will be tonight at Zelica Grotto Hall located at 1000 South âKâ Street in Pensacola. You can register for the event for $545 at the captains meeting or anytime during the tournament. If you wait to enter you must wait twenty four hours after signing up to weigh a fish after tonight.
The top five places will be awarded; $5,000, $4,000, $3,000, $2,000, and $1,500. There will also be prizes for small boats, top boat, largest fish each day, and tag and release. There are numerous cash awards as well that enable the top anglers to take home a much larger sum of money.
